bad razor burn on bikini area - Skin Problems Message Board

I never had this problem until about 2 years ago. I shave my bikini area and get horrible red ingrown hairs/bumps. It looks awful, and hurts.
I have tried using fresh razors, sensitive skin shave gel, waxing.... nothing takes the hair away without leaving horrible razor burn. Since summer is here this could be a real problem.
It started happening during pregnancy #2 last summer, could hormones play a part? I had the baby 9 months ago and the problem is still here. Anyone else have this problem? And what do you do that helps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

after your shower use ban roll-on deodorant on your bikini area to prevent redness and bumps. sounds weird, but it works, i swear. i learned this from the health boards, actually!
