regain original complexion

hello,
I am a 21 year old male with fair skin. Recently, after returning from a
field work in a remote area, my skin has turned horribly dark especially
those areas that were unprotected from sunlight. I was never interested
in stuffs like skin care before due to which i'm facing this situation. I'm
disfigured to such an extent that a part of forehead which was sheltered
by my long hair has retained its original fairness while below that part
I'm totally black. Similarly, the left hand wrist protected by wrist-watch
appears as a band amidst totally dark skin. Well, some of my friends have
consoled me saying that i will regain original skin during winter. Also
i've been using various cosmetics especially OLAY but i'm getting negligible
success. What is the quickest and best possible way to regain my original
complexion and in future, what precautions should i take when i have to work
in the sun for whole day? Also, I've read somewhere that some yoga asana
can help restore original skin, is it true?

Re: regain original complexion

Wear sunscreen. Seriously. If your skin tans easily, wear clothes that will shield parts of your face and body (hats, longer-sleeves clothes, pants, etc.).

Re: regain original complexion

exfoliating your skin will help the skin cells regenerate faster. only time will fade the tan. a tan obtained by sunlight lasts longer than a tan that is obtained by a tanning bed. i tan in the bed and my tan begins to fade after a week. with regular sunlight, my tan takes several months to fade.

next time wear sunscreen in the sun.

Re: regain original complexion

The others are right.

Unfortunately you can't make your tan go away any quicker really. It will fade in time.

However, wearing sunscreen NOW will help your skin from getting any more tanned while you're waiting. Even if you live somewhere cold and cloudy...seriously.

Next time you're working in the sun wear sun screen and re-apply every few hours. Not only will you stop this from happening again but you'll be cutting your risk of getting skin cancer.

Re: regain original complexion

Like the others have said you will have to wait until the tan gos away. In the future wear sunscreen, I never go out side without sunscreen on, even in winter.

If after the tan gos away and you noice some damage to your skin, you might like to read a post on here called " Do you want perfect looking skin".
