Localized Intense Itch...advice? - Skin Problems Message Board

For the past two weeks I have had the most intense itch. It's a half-inch above the clitoris. It's normal skin in the pubic area...not sensitive tissue with moisture.

It itches intensely at least once a day and the skin flakes off, like a sun burn or dandruff.

I've had a yeast infection before, and this is not it. What could be going on? I'm sexually active...but with the same man for over a year.

I haven't changed anything about my soap, and the location of the itch is so localized...I just don't know what it could be.

I think i might have the same thing and i'm wondering what it could be. I itch the most right before i get out of bed in the morning, usually when i'm still in between sleep and awake. I know i'm not dreaming because i check the mirror. Its right between my butt cheeks at the very top of my butt (bottom of my back) i also have itching on the creases of my legs (where they meet the body, on both sides of the penis) It seems like it's most intense itch at night before bed and just before i get out of bed. there's no bumps but if i scratch enough the skin becomes flakey. does anyone have any idea what this is? thanks.
