strange rash - Skin Problems Message Board

Today I noticed a sore feeling around my underwear line right near the opening of my vagina. It feels like an ingrown hair.... I shaved yesterday and I get really bad razor burn and it looks like that. But I notice, a little more out and right before the very underside of my buttock a rash. It's like a bunch of little dots, about the size of pin tips, with a few that look like they could have been opened [like, darker, more blood colored...only completely flat and small], and it's completely under the skin...no raised areas, no itching, just a rash. The area where my underwear hits itches, but i'm positive that's just an ingrown hair. But any clue about the rash? Could that be from shaving too? I'm sexually active with my boyfriend and we don't generally use condomes, but we've both been tested and we know we're clean [and monogamous]. So I'm thinking I can rule out STD, but i guess it's always something to consider. But i'm curious as to what else could cause this... I haven't switched detergents, no new fabrics, and the only thing I can think of is the extensive shaving I did yesterday.[though I don't remember shaving this particular area] Any thoughts?
No other skin problems either

Maybe it could be a yeast infection. Not the vaginal kind, but the yeast that thrives on the folds of skin in moist areas (under belly's, breasts) etc. If it is, Dr.'s will prescribe cream for it. Keep up on hygiene of course.

Now that I re-read this, it almost sounds like a "heat rash". My husband gets them when he works hard in the summer and sweats alot.

hi i know what u mean i get the same hing sometimes but i work really hard enough to make my wife scream i sweat like a pig the doctor told me to do less sex after working
