razor burn!!!! - Skin Problems Message Board

I get the WORST razor burn when i shave my bikini area. I've tried everything.. aloe vera, hydrocortazone, acne cream... i've also tried shaving the 'right' way... wait until end of shower, use gel - let sit for a few minutes, shave with grain, etc. Nothing helps...it's SOOOO bumpy and then there are all these little nicks and it never really makes the area look that good anyways. Any suggestions on how to shave really well and how to get rid of razor burn!?!? I HATE it and it hurts and is ugly. Thanks!

I use solarcaine in that area after shaving and it helps alot. I use the spray on kind.

I read about it on another board and someone recommended dissolving two uncoated aspirines in a little water, putting it on the shaved area for about a minute and then wash it off. Never tried it cause I dont have the problem. Might be worth a shot. Inexpensive and won't do any harm.
