Itchy Heat Rash? Urgent help/advice needed! - Skin Problems Message Board

Hi all, i'm going travelling around the world in 3 days, and yesterday i broke out in this itchy rash all over my thighs.

it's like red pimples and raised skin surrounded by extra white, flat blotches.

i took some general allergy tablets and they havent done anything because when i woke up this morning it was all over my legs and up the inside of my arms, and from this evening its started appearing on my stomach.

i spent about an hour and a half in the sun the day before it came up. i didnt burn, but i do have very pale and fairly sensitive skin.

so i was thinking it might be a type of heat rash, combined with the stress of getting ready for travelling.

if anyone can give me some advice as to what it might be or how i can help it settle, that would be fantastic.
Like i said, i'm going away in just 3 days, so any quick replies would be very very appreciated.

sounds like sun poisoning to me. I had sun poisioning a couple of years ago and wasnt really burnt from the sun. As far as getting rid of it , I slept it off and drank alot of water. my skin got really dry in about 2 or 3 days and peeled off.

Cornstarch works best for me because it absorbs the moisture rather than adding to it with creams (even cortisone).

Something like bendryl as well to help keep the itching down.
