 is it Eczema?
Ever sense i was little ive had skin problems. I am now 16 and still have these problems.
i jsut assemed it was "overly-sensative" and nothing else.
Today i saw tehse little skincoloured teenie bumps on my finger, like 4 of them, thought they must be bug bite sbut tehy werent red and they didnt hurt unless i touched them.
My freind lanie said, "that sounds like eczema, i get those little bumps now and then."
Symptoms:
ever-dry skin
ever-itchy skin
Skin turns redish when i rub/scratch it
Turns redish when something cold touches it
Reacts baddly to most soaps, dryer sheets, & detergents
Now and then (not often) gets unexplained rashes (big, small, one., more, last hours or days.)
Sometimes reacts badly to razor (i.e. shaveing legs)
Lotion often amkes thinsg worse, becuase it sort of irritates my skin and stings. Espcially if i use it on my legs after shaveing.
My biggest problem is itchiness. when i get itchy and scratch, it looks sorta bad. I actually started covering up as much skin as i could in, 7th or 8th grade, becuase the other kids thought there was something wrong with me if tehy saw me figdeting with redish skin.
I also have fibromyalgia, that seems relevant.
I couldnt find much about it online, so i thought id ask here, doe sthis sound likeEczema to you? and what can i do about it?
