Silent Red spots on chest and back

Hi ,

From last 4 years, i have red spots on my chest and back area. They have spread. There is no itching, no pain, no rash and no dryness.

They are red spots uneven in size.

Any clues?

Warm Regards,

Akhil

Re: Silent Red spots on chest and back

Hi i am not sure if i am much help as i seem to be going thru the same thing as you ,my pimple like rash started a few months back now its spreading all over my chest , my rash is not realy itchy, I went to one doctor who said its exzema and prescribed cortisol cream which i was not keen to use as it has to many side affects , so i went for another opnion.

The female doctor told me i have pimples due to my hormones changing, ()I told her I noticed when I am sleeping and wake up my skin feels oily on my chest, she said its due to heat and sweat combined so I was told by her to just keep it clean and dry now my rash seems to be spreading to under breasts and tummy what do i do now go for another opinion and get a third diagnosis

Are you going thru menapause as well ? This could be a reason for your rash.....good luck

Re: Silent Red spots on chest and back

Are the bumps clustered together? Are the spots salmon color sometimes or always red? Does it get redder when you are hot or perspiring?

I was just diagnosed with Tinea Versicolor. Its a yeast that grows on the skin (specially in sweaty areas - under breasts, chest, back)

Do a Google search for it & look at some of the pictures you find online - or better yet go to your dermatologist. The diagnosis is worth your peace of mind! I let mine go for a long time until I finally just made the appointment & went. I was so scared at what my diagnosis would be, but what I have is very treatable & not dangerous! Good luck! Let us know what you find out!
