It's winter where i am now, but i'm a bit apprehensive about summer. I first noticed this problem a couple of years ago and it wasn't that bad, but last summer it got me a bit down. My left forearms ends up worse than my right one and what basically happens is right where the hair is growing out of the pore in the skin a bump will appear. Sometimes it's normal skin colour, other times it might be a tiny bit reddish.
I don't like picking at anything and i left it, but a couple of times it got to me and i gave a little squeeze to see if anything would come out. A few times i noticed a firm white substance with what looked like a new hair curled up inside. I consulted a beautician who said i need to exfoliate, but i do that anyway. I thought perhaps i don't exfoliate hard enough and tried that too. Then someone suggest a few different moisturisers, which didn't help. I thought maybe the pores are getting blocked due to the moisturiser being too rich. I've tried everything and i don't understand why i've never had this before and suddenly in my late 30's it appears???
I'm considering going to a skin specialist if it happens again so badly, but just wondered if anybody had something like that happen to them and only in summer. I don't really sweat and that's something a couple of people have said that i ought to do some form of exercise which makes me sweat all over to purify the pores. I might sweat a bit under the armpits, but it's hard for me to break into an all over sweat.
The last suggestion i got from a so called expert was to go off dairy products and use soy products instead.
If anybody has any ideas i'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks
I forgot to add that these aren't pimples and they are not itchy.
