I hope that you are ok.... I saw your message on here and thought that I would send you a quick reply.
My brother had similar symptoms a few years ago and he was diagnosed as having Shingles....... to be honest I don't know much about this condition, but I believe it is part of the same 'family' as chicken pox..... it starts almost like a rash, just little raised bumps and then the pain comes and the little bumps turn into blisters and burst.... the good news is that it is not permanent.
My brother was told that Shingles is generally something that you pick up when your body is run down like if you've been having a stressful time recently.
You are doing the right thing in going to see your doctor...... please let us know how you get on with your appointment on Monday.
