| Hives (knots) on Head
For the past three to four weeks, I have had very sore spots come up along my forehead and head. A day or so later, these painful areas become swollen and hard knots. I have visited my doctor three times already and he is just as stumped as I am (I am a RN). My doctor seems to think these are hives. The knots stay raised for a day or two, disappear, come up somewhere else. So far, I have been treated with Prednisone, Antibiotics, and Claritan. He is going to send me to a specialist next. Any ideas what this could be? I have not changed any cosmetics, hair products, or food. These areas are extremely painful, do not itch, and stay sore for days after they disappear.
