| Re: stretch marks driving me crazy
I am trying something called a TCA peel. I learned about this from a UK forum specifically for stretch marks. Many MANY people are doing TCA or Glycolic peels on their stretch marks and have gotten very good results. Basically you get TCA (I got mine off of **** for $17) and dilute it to the percantage you want (I did 50% to start with). You apply it to the stretch marks and surrounding area until it frosts (turns white) then wash it off. When it frosts, that means the the acid has basically killed the top layers of the skin and will soon slough off. The new skin regenerates itself and more collagen forms bonding the skin better. Your stretch marks won't go away immediately, it is a long process, but like I said many people are getting good results. Some say they have gotten rid of them totally, and some see up to 80% improvement. If you do a search you may find a lot of info on it, and maybe you will want to try it. This isn't guarenteed and is kindof painful, but I just did another peel today and hopefully by late next week I will see some improvement.
Oh and any creams like strivectin or such DO NOT work so don't spend $100 on something like that. At least with a peel you know your doing something to the skin because your peeling old skin and generating new skin.
