little red pimples develop after itching! - Skin Problems Message Board

Hi sorry I'm kind of a worrier...probably nothing but right on my beltline on my right side I have quite a few little pimples that form that get very red with itching...the pimples form after i started itching in this spot I just had quite a few stitches so my doc told me not to shower too much perhaps my skin is just not clean...it's only happening in one spot ...I keep thinking the worse like it's an HIV symptom or something...but it's not really considered a rash cause i made the spots appear on my stupid itching....anyone know of a case like this ...dry skin or something else?...thanks everybody I'm sorry for taking your time

Hi worry,

it could be contact dermatitis. Or a type of sweat rash, if you get hot there. The belt or even the waistline of your clothes might be aggravating it where you have recently had stitches. Are the stitches themselves looking o.k? If not I'd get a check up with your doc.

Definitely try not to itch, awful as it feels, itching will just make it itchier. Antihistamines can help with some skin problems when they itch.
