| White spots on arm, red spots on chest, shoulders, and back
I am a 20 year old male whose skin recently starting doing something faily odd. I have a whole group of white spots on the top side of my lower arm, and they stop at the elbow, but they pick up on my back but it is different. It is as though there are large areas of red, where it seems there is actually more area of red than my white skin tone. The fact that the top of my arms are a bit tan makes the spots more visible, im sure. On my chest, there are red circles, some of which seem to encase my regular skin color, some of which are just straight red. I have read numerous conditions that sound similar to what I am experiencing, but nothing that really seems to envelop everything that I see. To be honest, it doesnt bother me, all of this. They don't itch, they're not scaly, they're not on a different level from my skin. Everything that I have described has started with what seems like a small amount of acne, and then these almost look like acne scars. I recently quit smoking, I know I know bad idea that I do this in the first places, but the red spots on my back and chest seemed to start when I was a heavier smoker, and I know my mom was allergic to cigarette smoke.... Either way, any help will be appreciated. I did see a dermatologist, and she told me it was a type of yeast infection and I just needed to shower more and use ivory soap, both of which I did, both of which didn't change anything. Does this just need to run its course? Please let me know, or what I really should be doing.
Thank you.
