sulfur irritation?? - Skin Problems Message Board

my brother used 'bye bye blemish' a few weeks ago. instead of spot treating with it, he spread it out over both of his cheeks. ever since then, the areas he used it on have been red/pink. it never goes away. the active ingredient in the solution is 10% sulfur. could this be an allergic reaction or a burning of the skin? has anyone had this happen to them before? if so, can you recommend something to help repair his skin? he has tried aloe vera gel and emu oil, neither of which has helped much.....

This could definitely be a sulfur allergy! I am currently using something with a small percent of sulfur in it and the fine print on the back of the bottle warns of potential allergic reaction in people who have sulfur sensitivities.

I think he should see a doctor to find out what they recommend. If possible talk to an allergist.
