aloe vera gel not working - Skin Problems Message Board

after reading up on aloe vera gel being a miracle worker and people recommendin it to me i bought a trial size bottle

i have bad sun burn and my face is all red and aloe vera is supposed to help w/redness. well after takin it for a few days it seems my face is even MORE red. ive got the 100% from fruit of the earth....its no alcohol and no fragrance.

what should i do

I use Eucerin Redness Relief (just bought it at a drugstore...not sure where you live but I know it's at walmart and walgreens). It will immediately decrease redness because it's tinted green but it also decreases redness over time. I had some awful red marks from some medication and I felt like it made a difference--when I first started using it I didn't go out of the house without makeup...now I'm back to where I don't feel like I need make-up at all in just a couple weeks. My friend even noticed the difference.
Also, I noticed you only need a thin layer and make sure to rub it in well (or you might have a green spot here and there!). It also has suncreen so that you hopefully won't burn again! Hope this works for you too!

yea i saw that at cvs but didnt have any money on me at the time. eucerin and aloe vera gel are the 2 ive heard for redness relief

i bought the aloe vera gel after reading so many positive testimonials ....it seemed like it worked for pretty much everyone. first time i used it seemed like it helped now it just seems to increase the redness and not do anything. ive tried lots of different medications for various health problems and theyve never been effective on me so im wonderin if its me not the product.

i stopped usin any other stuff too....facial cleansers, cetaphil, apricot scrub, benzoyl peroxide etc. dont really have bad acne its mostly just scars and extreme redness. hopefully i can find somethin that works fast because its embarassin in public
