Natural remedies for eczema? - Skin Problems Message Board

My 9 week old DS has eczema all over his body. I have tried almost everything and still haven't found a good moisturizer for him. It helps some but he still has the dry red marks on him. Has anyone tried things like coconut oil, emu oil, evening primrose oil, etc. and how have they worked?? I was using cortosone cream on him when he had flare ups but I read a horrifying article about the side affects of even just one application and needless to say I am not going to be using that again.

I used flax seed oil with my 2 month old son. Make sure it is cold processed and in a dark bottle. Keep it in your fridge to keep in fresh. Start with a few drops in a dropper a day. If that doesn't do it - try a few drops twice a day. My son had a miracle recovery. Whenever I tried to stop using it, the eczema would return in just a few days. Give it a week or so to work.

I've used coconut oil on my eczema. It seems to help mine but can be a little messy. My mom uses it all the time on hers and it clears it right up.

I dont know of natural ones.But i had it as a child for years and we used lanicane you get get a walmart.It worked great for me

I have been using Hylira for the last 7 months and have not had one single flare up since. It is amazing. Derm sais it is the purest moisturizer out there. It is nice to end the use of steroids!
