Hi Paxy
I've had eczema for years. You can get a script from your doctor for triamcinolone cream 1%. You can also try things like the OTC creams ie., cortaid. I think triamcinolone is a bot better for the skin as it does not have any hydrocortisone, which thins the skin over time with repeated use.
If you have a really bad flare-up, they can put you on pred pills.
There is also some good soap: Mazon soap and they have a lotion too. Its coal tar soap - which sounds gross, but it kills the itch without burning. You can get it from the Vermont country store online. Its expensive but you might be able to deduct it & and get reimbursed through your Flex 125 med plan or other insurance plan if you have one.
I'm uncertain as to the extent of your symptoms. If you can be specific, I can share what worked for me.
