| Can you get folliculitis from thyroid or adrenal dysfunction?
I've been seeking a diagnosis for a possible thyroid/adrenal dysfunction. About two years ago I started noticing obvious changes in my skin. For one it became very pale. Secondly, I noticed it didn't have that smooth baby soft feel anymore. My legs and arms get really dry. My skin feels sort of "thick," but appears sort of transparent as to where I can see more veins then I ever used to.
The worst is I get a lot of whiteheads (pimples?) where my hair pores are at. I'm very compulsive about body hair so I shave my arms and chest, along with my face. I never used to have a problem with any of them. Now, shaving is sure to cause quite a few. I also get them on my scalp, especially where my hair meets the back of my neck.
This is starting to drive me crazy. Is anyone familiar with this?
