why does sweating cause itching. My son is 16 years old and when he starts to walk for a distance or lift weights and starts to perspire and the itching all over results.

I am 16 years old 185 lbs and 6 feet 2 inches and continue to grow.
I am a high school student.

Over the last 6 weeks I have noticed that when I exercise I start to itch.

When I am playing the guitar and get hot I start to itch.

This itch is all over my arms and my chest.

What do you think is causing it. I have changed the detergent that my mother is using and it still is going on.

It is caused by the salt in our sweat ...sweat drys quickly as it cools the body but then it starts to cause us a great deal of discomfort.
