| Re: how to get rid of keratosis
Hi there:
Ditto--it's an incurable condition. However, it's not contagious, painless, and worst in the winter. In the summer, the sun actually seems to help it (at least with me).
Products that help are lotions and washes with lactic acid in them. Salylic acid is good too, but lactic is better.
Scrubs are good occassionally, but a lot of doctors say it can make it worse, or sore. Try the following, in order of most $$$--
-Glytone body wash & lotion set (the body wash is good, and will be used up before the lotion, which is strong. I think you have to get both together. It's about $50 but very good!)
-Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream. (The pathoulli scent is OK--but it's a great lotion. Not greasy and works really well.)
-Vaseline "Daily Shield Protective Moisture" lotion. (Cheap and does the job.)
good luck!
