| Re: winter itching skin on legs only
I used to have, what I called, 'alligator' skin on my legs, dry, flaky, itchy skin. I do have a tendency towards dry skin anyway, but my skin is different and flaky on my legs. It always seemed much worse in the winter months, perhaps because of the cold, dryer air, and home heating.
Here's my own program that I began a few months ago:
When I shower, I use a soft 'back scrubbing' brush on my legs. That seems to exfoliate any of the dead skin. When I need it, I shave my legs after brushing them, always using a moisturizing shave lotion.
After showering, and most important, I began using Palmer's Cocoa Butter daily. I also apply it in the evening before going to bed. I can't believe the difference it's made. My legs are smooth, and no longer itchy. Besides, Palmer's Cocoa Butter smells like chocolate to me! Love it.....
Just as a 'side-line', Sometimes I run my fingers through my hair after applying the Cocoa Butter to my legs. The minute 'leftovers' on my hands moisturizes my hair, without heaviness, and it makes my hair very shiny. (Acts like a finishing cream!)
Hope this will help you...
