| Re: PLEASE HELP my skin tastes like pot
So I have sort of figured out for myself that it is my sweat not just my skin. The time that I notice it the most, practically the only time that I notice it is during sex, and sadly I am a sweater. But today I was taking a nap with my fiance and was sweating because it was hot and she said that she could smell it on my back where I was sweating but not on my arm where I wasnt sweating.
So the dermatologist had absolutely no answer for me. He said that the most common cause for body odor is the apocrine glands and its the bacteria not our body that causes the odor. This I already new, but my armpits dont have the pot odor, just a normal B.O. I'm sure if my fiance tasted my armpits she might have the pot taste, but she hasnt jumped on the chance to taste my armpits and I dont blame her! he said that the apocrine glands are mostly in the armpits and that is where the odor should be the strongest, yet I have not noticed it there at all. His other thing he said it could be is the endocrine glands that also contribute to body odor in a very rare condition, but its usually assosiated with the smell of fish and its a genetic condition, so I should have had it my whole life, but infact it is just a recent thing for me.
I have to point out that its not really the odor that is the problem, but the taste. When I have sex, you can smell it faintly from my "down there" area, but really its the taste of my skin when my fiance kisses, licks, sucks, ect. She can taste it VERY strongly and then I can smell it just as strong on her breath and I can taste it when I kiss her. So its not something you can really smell, but the taste is incredibly strong, although there is a faint smell.
I am still desperate for answers. The taste and smell is so strong that it does on occasion stop sex, so its a pain. Although just the other day when we had sex, she didnt taste it at all! Usually its every time, but once in a blue moon its not there. I'm startin to think its something in my diet because I too know the influence diet has on our odor and tastes, but I have looked into my diet and cant think of anything that has changed.
