scabies

In Oct 07 my son contracted scabies. We were given meds for it for everyone in house to use, I cleaned everything, washed everything I mean everything. The scabies went away. Question is, now I notice he has tiny tiny little bumps on his arms, itchy. Can scabies return after 5 months??? Im hoping its just a rash of some sort he has been playing out side alot. But I notice I have little red bumps on my arm too. any insight here?

Re: scabies

If you took the meds as directed and throughly cleaned everything, the scabies should have been eliminated. They would have shown up before 5 months if you had not gotten rid of them.

Is it possible for another exposure to scabies.

My daughter contacted scabies when she was 5. We did the treatment and all was well. A couple weeks later, I noticed spots and saw her itching. I just knew scabies were back, but it was not. She had chicken pox.
