Perioral Dermatitis Help

I've had perioral dermatitis for 6 years now and have concluded that it's got to be hormonal...if only young women get it..duh. Also, something interesting...my sister has it too...so obviously there must be some genetic predisposition whether it's immune system or allergy related. I've recently stumbled upon something that is helping me (besides applying NO creams or makeup on the outbreak). I bought "Ezcema Rescue"..a ALL NATURAL cream that has got neem, aloe, vit c, poke, chamomile and other soothing ingredients...it doesn't get rid of it completely but the swelling, redness, inflamtion and spreading and dramatically reduced...I'm so happy because I'm pregnant and can't take (nor want to take) the antibiotics I usually am prescribed. The cream is made by peacefull mountain and is no more than $10...it's worth a try, cause I know this is an awful problem that doesn't seem like it'll ever go away! Good Luck!

Re: Perioral Dermatitis Help

I would suggest giving facial cleanser called Spectro Derm a try. However, you will have to order it from Canada since it isn't sold in the states. I had perioral dermatitis back in college, but managed to get rid of it with oral antibiotic treatment. However, 10 years later I am dealing with it again. The oral antibiotics didn't help me this time. However, I read on an old post here to give Spectro Jel a try, so I went ahead and ordered some Spectro Derm (since it had all the same ingredients + a few others.) Anyway, it arrived 2 days ago and I have been using it in the morning and before bedtime. I have seen a HUGE difference already. All the bumps have really shrunk and are disappearing!!! I am AMAZED and so excited!!
