Hypertrophic scars - Skin Problems Message Board

I acquired a hypertrophic scar a few months ago after a biopsy. I normally heal extremely well so this was a little surprising to say the least. Just wondering if anyone knows if I should be extra careful when being injured, after having this type of scar once will the prevalence of getting more like it increase or is this most likely a freak situation?

where was the biopsy done? the chest and shoulders tend to heal very poorly due to constant movement. i heal pretty well myself and have horrible hypertrophic scarring on my shoulders. also what did you put on it to aid in the healing process? where you taking in extra nutrients to help your body heal?
