| Re: Makeup question...
I like creamy cleansers rather than liquids. A few years ago I tried (I may get the name a little wrong) the Vanilla Meltdown, the Mandarin Meltdown, and the Peony Meltdown in the Signature A line from HSN. They came with sets. I didn't like the Peony only because of the scent. (I have fragrance sensitivities and MANY products give me migraines or trigger allergies and asthma attacks.) I really liked the Mandarin and the Vanilla. A few months ago (during an attack of winter skin) after using product after product that I didn't like, I decided to order some more Meltdown from HSN. The Mandarin wasn't available. I order 2 containers of Vanilla and 2 containers of Swiss Chocolate (?). Oh my! The Chocolate smells like chocolate mousse. It seems such a waste to put it on my face rather than eat it! These products were buy one, get one free, otherwise, I don't normally spend that much on face wash. It's very creamy, it removes my waterproof mascara, and my face feels moisturized after using it. You put it all over your face, wait 10 seconds for the "meltdown" and then I use a washcloth to rub a bit then rinse.
In the warm months, I do like the oil of olay and the dove face cloths. I just don't like them for my drier winter skin.
After cleansing, I use an alcohol free toner or ***** hazel. Currently I'm using Thayer's Peach ***** hazel. Even though ***** hazel has a bit of alcohol in it, it doesn't seem to dry my skin at all. The peach also has vitamin C and aloe, which are good for skin.
