Random facial flushing, help?!
Okay, I've been having random facial flushing on and off for probably 6+ months or so now. Just this past week it's been getting constant, where it's happening basically multiple times per day..
What happens is it feels basically like blood is rushing to my face, and I can feel it becoming hot, red, and irrated, feeling like it's burning/feeling like a sun-burn feeling. But I almost never go out in the sun (havent in days), due to fear that it will worsen it, and if I ever do go out I wear sunblock. Heat also seems to worsen it. When I look in the mirror my face does look red too.
The ONLY thing that I've found so far to help it when it occurs is: going out in the cold. Since it mostly occurs at night, if I go outside and it's say 50-60 degrees, and I stand outside for a while, then come back inside and look in the mirror - the redness is completely gone and my face looks completely normal again. Any idea what that means? I'm guessing the cold is making the blood go away from my facial area, but the problem is how do I stop my blood from rushing to my face in the first place? I can't run outside in the cold and stand there for 30 mins every-time my face gets over-heated....
The only causes I can think of that is WORSENING this are (I say worsening because I had this problem before on and off in the past, and then it's gotten constant as of recent, and the only new things that I've done in the past few months are: A.) Cigarette smoking irrirating my skin B.) Sunscreen or C.) The meds that im on - Prozac or Adderall or D.) I have Rocesa E.) I have a blood-pressure or thryoid problem F.) Some kind of allergy
Anyone had any idea? Or similar problem, and what they did to help treat it? I've tried for the last 2 days straight to: Not smoke any cigarettes, have no caffine, not going out in the sun at all, not applying sunscreen in case it's irrirating my skin, and not taking my Adderall for 2 days.... I haven't really noticed any improvement yet.. but I dunno
