Shaving neck- strange lumps
Hello everyone. I want to say thanks for your time and reading my post...
I shave 2-3 times a week. I have a lot of facial hair and grow it rather quickly.
I have a problem occurring though on my neck and I believe it is from shaving.
I get large lumps (pea sized to nickel sized) on my neck. I am pretty sure they are from ingrown hairs. Sometimes, I can tweezer out thick hairs that are very hard and brittle. But most of the time, these lumps are under the skin and do not form whiteheads or have a hair that I can tell is causing the infection as normal pimples do. My body has to just absorb the lump, which takes anywhere to 5-7 days.
I use a Gillette mach 3 razor.
I have tried using an electric razor but can't stand all the scraggly hairs it leaves behind.
I do not use aftershave. Should I?
I am not sure if this has somethign to do with simply the strokes of my razor, or is a bigger issue.
Thanks for your help
