Since about the age of 8 I've had a pink mole on my arm. It has always been raised, never gave me any trouble or anything. A week ago I started scratching it. I didn't scratch it because it itched but rather it looked like it had some dry skin on it and I tend to pick at dry skin. Well I didn't think anything of it and yesterday I noticed that instead of being raised it had flattened out. What's odd is that a reddish ring has appeared around the mole and it looks as though the ring around it is slightly raised. You can't really tell just by looking at it but when I rub my finger across it I can tell. Also this morning I woke up and there were a few tiny drops of blood(hardly noticeable unless you were really looking at it) on one corner of it which I think may be to me scratching it during my sleep as I tend to scratch myself during my sleep. I'm hesitant to go to the doctor because I don't have the money, but this is really scaring me. I don't have a history of skin cancer in my family and I haven't been overly exposed to the sun or anything so please help me out:/


Also if I were to go to the doctor how much would it cost to have it checked out?

On a side note, I suffer from severe anxiety which I'm not sure if that could be a factor in this but I figure I'd throw it out there.
