small red dots, appear and disappear daily, hands feet and other places

I've been getting these small red dots on me for some time now. First they started on my hands and another time i Noticed them on my feet and recently on my legs and arms. they appear everyday and go away within 45 minutes or so. I don't have medical insurance or a doctor, I'm 18,and it's been happening probably for over a month. i'm just a little worried. does anyone know what this could be. i'm going to try and ask my mom to take me somewhere but i really don't know. they are small red dots, when i squeeze on it or whatever it turns white. they have been itchy before but aren't always. i think, but am not postiive, that they occur when it's cold. also, they aren't raised I don't think

thank you.

the number of dots usually varies..sometimes there's just a few other times there is a lot

Sounds like dyshidrotic eczema. You can look online for pics, but the pics online are pretty scary looking and like, extreme cases. But I had a similar thing and that's what the doc said. Pretty much, I got it more on right hand then left. When I asked the doc why, if its eczema, she said it's because I was a righty and I probably aggravated it more with daily activities. It's FINALLY better, but I feel like I can still kinda see the redness. But at least it doesn't hurt when I;m digging in my purse.

Re: small red dots, appear and disappear daily, hands feet and other places

Hi Kasey,
So it sounds like you may have dyshidrotic eczema, I've been suffering from the same thing for years now. There is lots of new information about this stuff all over the web. I would advise you to check some of the legit medical sites, because there are so many underlying factors that may cause this, lots of these sites can tell you things you may need to avoid-- from certain foods in your diet, to the skin/hair care products you use. I've been to a ton of doctors/dermatologists that haven't been able to give me a clear answer and have prescribed me numerous creams, most of them never worked ( and some made my condition worsen). One that has been promising, that I only use to get me through my bad flare ups (because it's really strong, and thins out the layers of your skin) is Fluocinonide cream (.05%). I also take an antihistimine daily, like Claritin to help with the itching-- because the worst thing you could do it scratch-- and lastly I noticed the acne medicated wash I use on my face daily (Clearasil) has also helped to minimize the little blisters, so I always make sure to lather up my hands. I hope some of this will be helpful to you. Good luck!
