Anybody Have Eczema

After doing some yard work directly in the sun
for about an hour, started to have a skin
allergy reaction on the left face cheek, forehead.
Symptoms: Red rash, itchy, swelling around the
eye. I am pretty positive this is Eczema, not a
sun burn

For relief: washed the face with cold water,
gently pat dried and applied Aloe Vera which is
a pain relieving gel wih Lidocaine & Menthol that
cools, soothes & moisturizes. It relieves the
itching. I'm still red and swelling just on the left
side of the face and eyes.

I have no other symptoms that would require a
ER visit. NO HEALTH INSURANCE. Your help
would be kindly appreciated.

Re: Anybody Have Eczema

Well, I've had eczema since I as born. It used to be bad when I was little but I'm older now and it has gone away.

You might wanna check if it really is eczema or tell of any details such as if youve had these symptoms before. But I dont think you contracted eczema on the spot or if it was triggered by the sun.

Re: Anybody Have Eczema

Like the previous user said, you can't contract Eczema. I had it from birth until age 17 when I just slowly outgrew it. Try going to a Minute Clinic and seeing if they can help you if it doesn't get any better. It's usually affordable there if you don't have insurance.

Re: Anybody Have Eczema

You should take an antihistamine and put a cold pack of peas on it.
