Oh sorry to hear of your burn. I would dab w i t c h hazel (inexpensive at any drug store) on the skin. It is cooling, and relieves the pain. Be careful when you start peeling, that it does not get infected. Had to spell that one out because it is so close to a banned word.
I have "heard" that spraying vinegar on a burn may be soothing.....but do not rub it in ...just let it drip...may be a bit smelly.....I had horrible sunburns when younger and used this remedy....helpful....and learned lesson .....now I am ultra sensitive to the sun and must avoid it always....and the area of my chest that was badly burned cannot have any sun at all....even for 5 seconds as it burns terribly.....permanent sensitivity there....
But on a postive note.....as I stay away from sun, the skin on my face if quite nice....I am 57 with no wrinkles at all...and the texture is smooth.
I have a similar burn, but mine has a very scaly texture. I have been using Noxema, which is a white creamy substance, I had never heard of it, but my grandmother suggested it and it works wonders. It has a strange menthol-y smell to it but it feels great on my burn.
