former boil, now a cyst?

I had a boil just under my belly button. It finally got to the point where I could barely wear pants anymore so I went to the doctor. He performed what I assume is the usual torture. He poked it with a needle and proceeded to push out as much pus as he could. No local anasthetic. Hurt like nothing.

He also put me on antibiotics. Now, four days later, the boil no longer hurts. The surface skin is healing, but I've still got a rather large (half an inch in diameter) lump under the skin where the boil was. It doesn't hurt at all.

I'm afraid to go back to the doctor. I suppose I am a wimp, but I don't want him to squeeze anything like that ever again. Is this possibly just a residual affect of the boil that will heal with the rest of the antibiotics? It still protrudes a bit and (for vain reasons) I don't want it on my stomach permanently!
