Red cheeks since birth now I'm 25

I was born with red cheeks, and have always had them. I have looked up both keratosis pilaris and rosacea but I do not have any of these symptoms besides the red cheeks, my face is very smooth no bumps. I do not break out in pimples on my cheeks, well I get the one or two during that time of the month but thats normal. My cheeks do get brighter when I'm mad or hot, they also can turn purplish when I'm cold. I also get red splotches down my neck when hot/cold but when I'm neither you can't see anything. I just want to know if you can have these two things and not have all the symptoms or is there something else out there? Or did I just get a unlucky red weird face? I attached some pics to help show you what it looks like.

I think your skin is worth an appointment with the dermatologist, just to find out the exact cause, but there are times where you can still have, say, rosacea, and not have ALL of the symptoms of it. The great thing is that since you're a young woman, if your redness really bothers you then a good foundation will make it invisible.

Re: Red cheeks since birth now I'm 25

In past centuries, girls would pinch their cheeks to get that rosy look; today, many use cosmetics to get it.
I say you just go with it: learn to love it!
Trust me, many people have it much much worse.

Good luck.

Re: Red cheeks since birth now I'm 25

Thanks so much for your replies, the reason I ask is because I just moved from my hometown in oklahoma to iowa to live with my boyfriend. My family thinks I am just fine and I have grown up thinking the same, it is just my boyfriends mom that keeps asking me whats wrong with my face and I have just told people there is nothing wrong with my face I am just special but her constant proding is making me feel like there might be something wrong with me. Thanks again!

Tell her you were an English Milkmaid in a previous life.
Then ask her what's wrong with hers.
