| Pyogenic Granuloma?
My 4 year old developed a skin growth that began looking like a regular zit type bump back in February. It is on her cheek bone area near her ear. It started off small but is now about pea sized. Right now it looks like a fluid/pus filled blister that is reddish on the inside. Almost see through like but not a dark solid red. I took her in to the doctor (her pediatrician) and she believes it is a pyogenic granuloma. She showed me pictures of one but none really looked her hers. The doctor told me that it could suddenly begin to bleed a lot if bumped, but it never has. If she bumps it, it hurts her and she cries. It turns all bruised looking but it never bleeds.
She referred me to a dermatologist but I cannot get in until June. (if its still there, that will be 4 months she has had it) So, my question is....do all pyogenic granulomas bleed? How long do they last? Has anyone had one with fluid/white pus substance inside?
Im just curious if this is REALLY what they think it is. If its NOT that, what could it be? Should I try to get in somewhere else before June?
