I'll keep this pretty short... I've had a skin condition on my hands and elbows for awhile that keeps getting misdiagnosed as psoriasis and I've been trying to figure out what it really is for the past 10 years.
-Puffy, dry skin on the bottom of hand and back of elbow, same arm.
-skin does not crack or hurt
- bumpy ridge where the skin stops
- same color as my regular skin tone
-if removed it grows back within two to three days exactly the same as before.
My mother only remembered one thing about it when a doctor diagnosed it YEARS ago (around age five and I'm now 26). She remembered the doctor saying that we would have to watch it when I went through puberty to make sure that no tumors formed. If tumors formed then we'd need to have it checked out again, if they didn't then there is nothing to worry about.
No tumors formed but I'm tired of having a scratchy hand and not having to touch various clothing items without feeling like I'm sandpaper.
Please help lead me in the right direction?
Attached are two photos to show what it looks like...
