| Anyone else suffer from tinea versicolor?
For about 8 or so years my skin on the ches, abdomen and under arms have seemed to develop these weird tan patches. I have not been officially diagnosed but doing some research on the net it seems it may be some sort of fungal disorder called tinea versicolor. Apparently it can be due to hot climates, poor diets and it thrives in moisture.
For the longest time I tried ignoring it but decided to try to find out what it is. There are topical ointments and stuff you can get but they can be rather expensive, another treatment that came up quite a bit was welding blue, the dandruff shampoo. I am a little leery putting that on my body. Does anyone else suffer from this and have any cures?
