how long for pilonidal wound to become strong post op?

i had a pilonidal sinus removed about 4 weeks ago, it was a closed wound and is healing ok.

given the area i am assuming it heals a little slower than say your arm, but how long could it be before i can feel confident in the strength of the healing?

i am still a bit reluctant to do things that may stretch the area and i know there wont be much elasticity there for a while (how long can that also take), im led to believe it could be a good few months.

but anyway my main question above is just about the strength of the wound mainly, 4 weeks after would putting a lot of pressure on the area open it up, would itbe as srong as it would ever be now, or is there still a while before its very strong?

thanks

james
