Lump on scrotum

Recently I developed a small, spheroid lump on the bottom of my scrotum. It grew to about the circumference of a dime in all directions, and expressed thin pus very easily when squeezed. After a few days it got softer and started to shrink and me, being the genius that I am, thought I should give it another good squeeze to make sure I got all the pus out.

The next day, the lump had grown to the size of a quarter and became red and inflamed, with the skin at the apex of the lump looking as though it had split or been rubbed raw, and leaking blood and clear fluid. Feeling my scrotum, it also feels like there's a thickened tube running from the back of the hard inflamed area toward my body. I'm guessing this is a blood vessel or capilary that is also inflamed with the same infection? The lump doesn't seem to be attached to my testicles in any way. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
