Itchy skin & Red spots - What is it??? - Skin Problems Message Board

Hi,

I've recently got very itchy skin over most of my body. The itch is worse at night, but is still present in the day.

Also, i've developed over the course of a week or so areas on my arms and legs which are itchy and seem to have a palpable (sp?) lump.

If I itch these lumps, they turn red pretty much over night (about the size of a quarter) and a shaped in a circular pattern. This goes away in a couple of days leaving a typical bruise.

I've researched some of the dermitology sites, but nothing seems to match these "spots".

Has anyone had a similar experience? Does this appear to be a dermitology problem or related to something else (like a dsyfunctional liver)?

I really doubt it is from a dysfunctional liver, unless you have one. If it is over your body, it could be anything from bug bites to an infection caused by a bacteria. I know flea bites cause me to bruise if I itch too much. But if I were you I would go to the doctor, could be a bad thing.
