evening primrose oil- topically? - Skin Problems Message Board

I take primrose oil daily(orally) but what about applying it topcially to dry skin? My hands are brutal lately..they're so dry that any creams I try burn, so I'd like to try something completely natural. Would applying primrose oil topically help at all? Does it need to be mixed with another oil(eg-joboba)to be absorbed into the skin? Also, would using vit E mixed with joboba give better results?

Any opinions?

Yeah, you could use evening primose oil. What I do when my hands get REALLY dry is use sweet almond oil, rub it into your hands really well or buy a cream that has it in it. Then put on some cotton gloves and keep that on overnight.
