About 5 or 6 years ago, certain areas of my skin began turning an unflattering shade of blue when I became cold. It's mostly a problem when it's freezing out (i.e., winter) however it can be as *mild* as 50 degrees F and I will still turn blue. My problem areas concern my toes, feet, nailbeds and, most embarassingly, my face. My face bothers me the most for obvious reasons... I can't cover it up! It's not just my lips that turn blue/purple but also my chin, forehead, nose-- the works. And not only is it blue but it is splotchy because of discolorment from previous acne (that you can't see when i'm not cold). My doctor says i have RAYNAUDS DISEASE, but that doesn't explain my face! I have never heard of cases where ppl's entire FACES turn BLUE. Other than that, I am an attractive young college woman who is not underweight (120lbs and 5'5) and with no blood or heart problems (like cyanosis) so i can't figure this out. i need the blue to stop! if anyone has advice (please don't tell me to bundle up, it doesn't help) or experience, please respond, i would APPRECIATE it so much.
THANKS!
ps... i live in boston so that complicates things just a tad
