I'm trying to get rid of those red marks caused by acne. I've heard that products containing Salicylic Acid or Glycolic Acid (AHA products) may help. Which one is more effective in fading these marks? Thanks.
I've [pretty much tried EVERYTHING on the market (including accutane) and now I'm back to the basics.......to dull out the red use Glycolic acid : ) but if it had puss in it treat it with sylcilyic (spelling??heheh) acid first
Hope this helps

Glycolic acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid. Salicylic Acid is a Beta-Hydroxy Acid. AHAs help with the top layer of the skin, so this is probably what you need. BHAs go deeper into the skin to clear out the pores and combat dirt and oil.
The Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment does fade acne scars, but not because of the salicylic acid. The product contains fruit extracts--I tend to wonder if they are AHAs, but I lost the ingredients list a while ago. The Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment is one of Neutrogena's best products, so I highly recommend it. Do some research on that, maybe it will work for what you need.
