I'm an 18/m and weigh 130lbs. My problem is that I have uneven nipples. One is really flat and the other is more roundish and sticks out more. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Also, if there's anything I can do.
I absolutely hate it. I'm very self-conscious about it so I avoid water parks or the beach..any kind of event where I'll have to remove my shirt. I'm scared people are gonna stare at me.
Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've posted on the other boards but go now response, please don't let it be the same here too.
The only thing i could think of was that most people's breasts are uneven so this could be the case for nipples also. It could also be genetic. Do any other females in your family have the same issue with nipples? If it worries you that much, next time you are at your doctors, ask about your nipples. I doubt there is anything wrong and don't base your body on what you see in magazines. We're all individuals from the top of our heads to the tips of our toes and what you find odd, another female is living with and thinking it normal. Also at 18 your body is still developing

This is extremely common in males! My boyfriend in high school, whom I dated for 2 years, had the exact same thing. One of his nipples was flat and the other had a sort of bump inside it that made it stick out more. He was self-conscious about having a "girl nipple" and even went to his doctor about it. His doctor told him it was very common and nothing to worry about, and that with age sometimes it just goes away! So no worries! Don't stress over what other people are going to think about you on the beach...as a female I can honestly say I'd WAY rather a guy have fun and elude confidence than feel as if he's self-conscious about his appearance.
oh dude that is so weird that you posted that b/c i have the same problem (but i'm a girl). i really hate it and i'm very self-concious about it. i know that it could go away once i get older (i'm 16) but sometimes i worry that it won't so i've looked into ways of fixing it. the only thing i've heard of so far that offers real results is areole (sp?) reduction surgery. apparently it can be done easily and doesn't cause a lot of pain, swelling, etc. and recovery only takes about a week. you can change the appearance of both nipples by making them smaller or flatter or you can change one to make it match the other. i've been thinking about it for a while now. i'd have to wait till i'm 18 but it seems like it might be a good choice if it makes this issue go away. lol i don't know if i'm helping at all i'm kind of just rambling but i thought it might interest you to know that this kind of surgery is available b/c i only recently found out and it's made me more optomistic.
Did you know that Mark Walburg(Marky mark) has three nipples??????Don't stress EVERYONE has some kind of imperfection, but if you don't accept yourself ,how will anyone else?I suppose you could have surgery,to correct this "problem,"but remember, people die from elective surgery everyday,do you want to risk your life for a cosmetic procedure?Whatever you do good luck!
Hey! I have one breast a complete cup size larger than the other one ) It gets more obvious as I get older (I'm 26), but let me tell you, when I'm in a bikini, I'm pretty sure the guys aren't thinking I'm freakish. My husband overheard a comment the other day at the pool about me...something along the lines of "those are some freakin' huge ****"! Classy, eh? Point is, I could hide myself under a t-shirt thinking "of course everyone notices!", but I'm pretty sure they care far less than I do. As one post stated before, as a female, I would definitely go for the guy who took his appearance lightly than the guy who obsesses about it. Try to find a way to make a joke about your nips. Say your old girlfriend was too frisky, and that's why one is gone now. ;o)
