I have this internal bump on the top of my buttocks. I went to see the doctor and he said that it is a fatty abecess and its harmless. But latelt if I happen to play touch our paly with it and when i smell my fingers it smell like **** are something realy bad. What the hell is that and why do it smell like this is this something to be concerned about.
my mom has one of those on the back of her neck and when she plays with it or pinches it, it smells disgusting. She's had it for 21yrs now. When it gets to big (it fills like a pimple) she has me pop it (i wear rubber gloves because the smell on my fingers is so bad afterward) but i haven't been able to get it to wear it bleeds or gets the seed out. So i don't know what it is and she won't go to the Dr to get it checked, because she says so far nothing has happened. If you ever find out please respond! We know how you feel though!
Did the Dr say it was a pilonidal cyst or pilonidal sinus? The reason that it smells is that it is a chronic infection. There are some conservative treatments like drawing salves and hot compresses. These work for some people, but sometimes removal surgery is the only thing that helps.
If you research using the correct medical diagnosis, you should be able to get plenty of information. If it wasn't pilonidal cyst and you can't remeber what the Dr said it was, then call his office and ask him to tell you again so you can write it down and look in to it.
Thanks for the info only thing is that mine do not hurt. It do smells tho. I can sit down with no problem and when I touch it it dont hurt so is this the samething
It does not have to be painful to be a pilonidal cyst. Some people have them their whole lives and they never hurt. Some peoples hurt sometimes but not always, and some peoples become so painful sitting is impossible. Depends on the person.
