Mole under lip (really close) - removed with blade or laser?
Hello. I have a fairly medium sized raised mole under my lip and I was wondering if I get it removed, if it is possible to get it done with the blade. It is pretty close to my lip so I was wondering if I get anesthesia where would he stick the needle. I really hate this mole and haven't got the nerve to ask my mom if I can get it removed yet. I am also wondering if the blade is cheaper than laser and what is the average price of the blade and the price of the laser removal. Thanks.
I removed "skin tags" from my neck, mole underneath my chin and a mole on my back (someone else did it) with dry ice, it's the same chemical used to cauterize in dermatologists offices I've been told. Bought a small "chunk" and chipped off a piece for it to melt then with a q-tip I placed it gently on the mole making sure it did not touch the surrounding skin as it will burn and maybe scar it. I don't know how old you are so it would be best to ask your mom to help. It works, you just have to make sure you just cauterize protruding mole. good luck!
I just had a mole removed above my eye about a month ago. They cut it out, and yes I do have a small scar, but it is better than having a big mole petruding from my head that was getting bigger over the years, but I am in my 20s so I was able to make the decision myself. They also numbed it before they done the precedure, it was a shot that hurt like heck. I also got three stitches that I had to wear for about a week. Well I hope I have been some help. Keep us posted on what you decide to do.
Hey TML79 I just have a few questions for you: How much did it cost? What area did you get the shot on? and did your insurance cover any of it? Thanks.
