Red marks from cuts and wounds - Skin Problems Message Board

is this normal. this is scaring me. i don't think i have a keloid scar cause its not raised or anything. its just a simple red mark from a wound or cut.

these red marks i have on my arm seem to be growing in surface area and darkening. funny thing is i haven't been in the sun lately. so is this normal? i can't see how the red mark can diminish if its neither shrinking or fading.

can anyone relate to me????

This happened with a scar I had. It got darker in the sun. Skars go through like a million stages of coloring and fading. Mine start bright pink, then get deeper in color (sometimes purple) and then most of the time they turn white in the end. Don't freak out.

i thought my body was acting weird or smthg. i work at a warehouse and i get tons of scratches on my arms. thats why its a concern. well, as long as the scar will end up looking white, i'm fine with it.
