Learnt from the "Beauty & Cometics" forum that tea tree oil with some moisturizer helps... I have the same problem - just bought a bottle of oil yesterday. Waiting to see results... Any one out there with better suggestions - I would like to know too.

Microdermabrasion works great and lasts, but it's pretty expensive

I heard that laser resurfacing also work.

I had severe acne for 4 years, in the early 90's.
I've since been focusing on all-around skin care, and I'm proud to say that my scars aren't very noticeable anymore!
I wash my face morning and night with a gentle cleanser (you might want to use one with salicylic acid in it to prevent further breakouts if you're worried). I always moisturize.

I use mud masks 2-3 times a week (different ones) - it doesn't matter if you're male or female. Masks deep-clean the skin, help keep it healthy, and exfoliate the dead skin. The only way to get to the good skin underneath is to get rid of the dead skin.
(I also use a home dermabrasion system).

And of course, drink a lot of water.

It's the Chelsea Scott Diamond Dermabrasion kit from The Shopping Channel.
I got the one with the unit, the resurfacing cream, the cleanser, and sealer for about $80 CDN.
