Red face

How long ago has it been? I tried to shave down there myself once and NEVER again because it took like, a week to heal and was itchy, irritated, and VERY uncomfortable. I guess it can vary from person to person, depending on how often you do it. I don't know... i just know my skin took a while to heal.

The skin down there is much more sensitive, so it could be a temporary rash, no big deal. Usually it's better to shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it. Also, after you shave, scrub the area gently with a sponge and shower gel, this will prevent the red bumps and ingrown hairs.

If you do get a pimple, just squeeze it, get the ingrown hair out and make sure you clean the pore well, so it doesn't get infected. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to not get any red bumps and/or pimples when you shave there. Especially in the summer, when you also sweat and the panty or bathing suit rubs.

Yeah shaving "Down There" can end up an absolute disaster. If you really have your heart set on it, always lather the soap as much as you can, or shaving gel, and use water with a sharp new razor. If you shave dry, no matter where it is, even on your legs, you will break out in a red bumpy rash. The only other alternative is just get a pair of small scissors and keep the area trimmed short, it has to beat the hell out of walking around like you have a stick up your A$$.
